Psalm 147:3

"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

Healing and binding are the actions of a careful physician. The brokenhearted are not left to mend themselves. God Himself tends the wounds of the inner life. This verse offers quiet hope that emotional and spiritual injuries are within the scope of His restoring work, even when the process is slow and the pain is deep.
