Isaiah 41:10

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

Fear and dismay often accompany depression. God answers both with His presence (I am with you), His identity (I am your God), and three active verbs of support: strengthen, help, uphold. The imagery of the righteous right hand conveys personal, powerful, steadying care. When emotional strength fails, this promise supplies what the sufferer cannot generate alone.
