Proverbs 15:16

"Better a little with the fear of the Lord than great wealth with turmoil."

Contentment with modest means under God's care is declared superior to abundant riches accompanied by anxiety or strife. When finances are limited, this verse reorients the heart: the presence and favor of God outweigh material plenty. It undercuts the assumption that more money automatically equals more peace.
