Finance
Scripture and encouragement for financial stewardship, contentment, and trust in God.
Selected Sub-Tab
Proverbs 23:4-5
"Do not wear yourself out to get rich; do not trust your own cleverness. Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle."
The pursuit of wealth as an ultimate goal is discouraged because riches are inherently unstable. Exhausting oneself for money reveals misplaced trust. Instead, the passage calls for dependence on God, recognizing that financial security can vanish quickly and is therefore a poor object of ultimate hope.
