Hebrews 13:6

"So we say with confidence, The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?"

Confidence replaces fear when the Lord is recognized as helper. Anxiety about people, opinions, or threats loses force in light of God's help. The rhetorical question underscores the limited power of human opposition compared with divine aid.
