Psalm 50:14

"Sacrifice thank offerings to God, fulfill your vows to the Most High."

Thanksgiving itself is treated as a sacrifice, an offering that pleases God. In the Old Testament context, thank offerings were voluntary expressions of gratitude. The principle remains: deliberate, costly expressions of thanks are a fitting response to the God who has given so much.
