Raising Children
Scripture and encouragement for intentionally raising children in the Lord.
Selected Sub-Tab
Hebrews 12:7-11
"Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? ... No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it."
God's fatherly discipline of His people provides the ultimate model and encouragement. Earthly parents can endure the pain of disciplining and being disciplined because it yields a harvest of righteousness and peace. Difficult seasons of correction, whether received or given, are reframed as purposeful training rather than meaningless conflict.
